Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
A name or case number entered in a search tool is sent directly to the outside provider operating that tool. The provider processes the query and supplies its results. We do not retain or log those search terms on our systems.
Messages and Contact Submissions
We retain an email or contact submission as needed to answer it. Messages remain within our organization unless disclosure is required by law.
Data We Gather Automatically
Our servers automatically receive basic technical information when a page loads:
- Page-view dates and times
- Visited pages and time spent on them
- Referring website, when available
- Device type and operating system
- Browser name and version
- Internet Protocol address assigned to the device
Cookies and Analytics
Cookies are small files saved on a device. We use them with analytics services to understand aggregate traffic, including popular pages and common exit points. A browser can block cookies, although doing so may change how some features work.
What We Do With This Data
- Route a submitted query to the selected search provider
- Maintain site availability and performance
- Diagnose and correct technical faults
- Measure which resources visitors use
- Display advertising that may reflect visitor interests
No Court-Record Data on File
Colorado County Court Docket does not host, maintain, compile, or sell a database of docket or personal case information. It identifies official routes maintained by the District Clerk, County Clerk, local courts, and statewide systems. We are not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and visitor information is not assembled into consumer reports or profiles of other people. The Texas Public Information Act applies to covered government information, while its judiciary provision directs judicial access to court rules and other law. Texas Rule of Judicial Administration 12 governs judicial records within its scope; court case files generally remain subject to clerk custody, statutes, court rules, and common law.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies power the search boxes. Their privacy terms, not this policy, govern information submitted through those tools. Each provider controls its retention and disclosure practices. Review those terms before running a query.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to Colorado County clerks, Texas court portals, legal-aid resources, or commercial search services. Once a visitor follows an outbound link, the destination's privacy policy applies. Read it before providing personal information.
Advertising providers may use their own systems to track activity across websites for targeted advertising. We do not operate that tracking.
Who Might See Your Data
We do not sell personal information. Limited data may be available to:
- Analytics vendors measuring traffic and performance
- Search providers processing a query
- Advertising networks serving page ads
- Government or law-enforcement bodies acting under a valid legal order
How We Protect Your Data
Reasonable, standard safeguards protect the information we handle. No internet service can guarantee absolute security, so we cannot promise that unauthorized access will never occur.
Users Under 18
This resource is intended for adults, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from a person under 18. If such information is identified, a deletion request may be submitted.
Your Data Rights
Rights may vary with the law that applies where a visitor lives. The Texas Public Information Act concerns access to government information and does not convert this private website into a government body. Subject to applicable privacy and consumer-protection law, a visitor may:
- Request access to personal information we hold
- Ask that inaccurate information be corrected
- Seek deletion where the law permits it
- Opt out of eligible forms of processing
Updates to This Policy
